Fort Henry is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting southeastern
Ontario. The strategic site overlooks
the junction of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, and the Rideau Waterway
System. It is also very accessible by
all vehicles, including RVs of any size.
Just take Exit 623 South off 401 and Highway 15 will lead you to Fort
Henry. And once you get there, don’t
fear, there’s an abundant amount of parking.
Construction of the fort began when the tensions between the British and
the expansion-minded Americans were still high.
The fort that today warmly welcomes all visitors to pass through its
walls was completed in the 1830s and was brilliantly restored 100 years later
